Wood is a natural product which is affected by the weather. In warm sunny weather the round timber will shrink, causing some cracking in the wood. This is perfectly normal. In wet weather the timber will swell.
The use of square sawn timbers reduces this effect to a minimum.
All Hout-Land timber is produced from managed forests and is treated with non toxic solutions against rot and insect infestation. The timber components carry a 10 year guarantee against structural failure caused by rot.
